Pada malam 12hb Mac 2010 yang lalu, telah berlansung Majlis Anugerah Pelancongan Negeri Johor 2009 di Pusat Konvensyen Antarabangsa Persada Johor yang disampaikan oleh Y.A.B Dato' Hj Abdul Ghani Bin Othman. Hotel Seri Malaysia Johor Bahru telah memenangi anugerah Mutiara iaitu pemenang tempat pertama bagi Hotel 2 Bintang terbaik di negeri Johor. Pemenang menerima sebuah Trofi Kristal berbentuk Bangunan Sultan Ibrahim dan sijil penganugerahan. Majlis turut dimeriahkan lagi dengan persembahan kebudayaan dari dari Yayasan Warisan Johor dan beberapa artis tempatan yang berasal dari negeri Johor.
